Around September when I tried to try mining (or hashing) using Nicehash since it is very easy to setup that you'll only need to install a Windows program and a Bitcoin wallet.
I started trying with a single GTX 1050Ti and later added another GTX 1070. I only used existing hardware such as the motherboard, processor and memory stick. I even used my existing Corsair VS450 PSU at first but I am now using a better power supply unit.
September to October 2017
During the last two months, I am using Nicehash program and was able to get 2 payouts since I started mining / hashing. I am using Windows 10 as the operating system installed in an SSD, installed MSI Afterburner to change individual GPU overclock settings, power limit and fan speed and also installed TeamViewer to remotely manage the mining rig.
All of this is running smoothly until I added two more GTX 1050Ti's and Windows was not able to recognize the other GPUs and I gave up!
Moving on with Simplemining OS
I have installed Simplemining OS and currently participating in a mining Etherium pool. It's been running for two days now and is pretty stable.

It will be able to mine 0.013997 ether/day basing on the current difficulty rate. I have used this calculator to calculate how much I will mine according to my rig's hash rate.
Profitability to show ethers per day as compared to USD/day since value of cryptocurrency fluctuates by the hour.
